Donald H. and Jane P. Violette are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married on Oct. 10, 1964, at Sacred Heart Church in Waterville. Family has always been at the heart of their marriage and they are blessed with three wonderful daughters and their partners: Kristin A. Violette and her fiance, John Nugent, of Titusville, Fla., Shelley J. Suttie and her husband, John, of Sanford, and Alison D. Bisson and her husband, Bruce, of Oakland; and four special grandchildren, Kate, Jake and Eric Bachelder, and Chloe Suttie.
The Violettes enjoyed a celebration with family last summer with an extended stay at a private, 102-year-old classic Victorian oceanfront cottage located directly on the beautiful Maine coastline. Spending quality time with family and close friends is the highlight of their celebration and the best gift they could receive.

Janie and Don, now retired, have lived and worked in Waterville most of their lives and have enjoyed being active in many community affairs and organizations.
