Marshall certified as a social branding analyst

Nancy Marshall, CEO of Nancy Marshall Communications in Augusta, has recently become certified as a reach social branding analyst, and is currently a certified 360Reach analyst and personal branding strategist.

The certification gives Marshall the knowledge and tools to help her clients build outstanding LinkedIn profiles and use LinkedIn to build and nurture their network and do their job better, Marshall said in a press release.

“All business is based on relationships between people,” Marshall said. “Defining your unique personal brand adds value to everything you do by making you stand out among your competitors and assuring that those who need your services will remember you and think highly of you as a person.

“LinkedIn has become an extremely important social platform for building your personal brand and I’m looking forward to helping people learn how to integrate it into their social media strategy.”

Marshall holds a bachelor’s degree from Colby College and an MBA from Thomas College. She has worked with clients from California to New York and statewide in Maine, according to the release. The certifications allow her to help experts, athletes, executives, authors and celebrities raise their profile on the Web and in the media through personal branding, she said.

Current clients include Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce, Discover New England, Carrabassett Valley Academy, Delta Ambulance, Colby College, Lunder-Dineen Health Education Alliance of Maine, the Maine Beer and Wine Distributors Association and the Maine Children’s Home for Little Wanderers, among others.

She said she has seen how the development and implementation of a practical, coordinated marketing communications strategy can make a significant and measurable impact on an organization and help it achieve its strategic goals.

Century 21 Alliance Welcomes Melodie Rand

Melodie Rand has joined Century 21 Alliance in Hallowell as a sales associate.

She will specialize in residential and recreational property sales in the capital area, according to a press release from the firm.

“We are thrilled to have Melodie join our team,” said Terry Berry of Century 21 Alliance. “It’s an exciting time to be with the Century 21 system as we increase our market presence in the capital area.”

Rand recently completed extensive training and licensing through The Real Estate Learning Group. In addition she has received extensive training by C21.

Berry added, “We believe training supports growth and professional excellence in the real estate industry. Performance-based training is necessary to assure that Century 21 associates maintain their competitive edge and offer the best service possible to their clients.”

Rand has worked in the social work field in Maine and maintained social work licensure since 1998.
