JACKMAN — Residents will consider a $720,284 municipal budget at Monday’s annual Town Meeting, a figure that represents an increase of roughly 13 percent over the current budget.

The meeting is at 7 p.m. Monday at the SAD 12 school auditorium.

Selectmen and the budget committee are recommending raising an additional $87,448 that is mostly spread out among a variety of items, although there are a few changes in the proposed budget, said Assistant Town Manager Heidi Dionne.

Changes include a proposed additional $20,000 for renovations at the Jackman Health Center and an ambulance replacement fund and an additional $10,000 for snowmobile trails capital equipment reserve fund, Dionne said.

Elections were held March 18. There were no contested races. Gary Garland and Arthur Hathaway were elected to the board of selectmen. Matthew Vining was elected to the utility district board of trustees.

Linda Griffin and Christina Morin were elected to the board of directors for SAD 12.
