Elise Beauchamp, of Temple, a 2014 highest honors graduate of Mt. Blue High School, has been named to the 2014 fall semester dean’s list at Syracuse University.

She also has accepted membership into the National Society of College Scholars, according to a news release. Membership into the society is by invitation only and is based on grade-point average and class standing.

Beauchamp is majoring in illustration with a minor in creative writing. She is enjoying Syracuse’s diversity, has joined the Quidditch and Judo Clubs, visited New York City museums and traveled to Cleveland to participate in Wizard World’s Ohio Comic Con.
