KeepMEHome forum

The University of Maine at Augusta’s College of Arts and Sciences and Senior College will present a Forum on the Future KeepMEHome. The free event is set for 2-4 p.m. Sunday, April 26, in Jewett Hall Auditorium, University of Maine at Augusta. Refreshments will be served during a 15 minute break, according to a UMA news release.

Speaker Mark W. Eves, D-North Berwick, Speaker of the House of Representatives, will discuss the KeepME Home legislative initiative which he has introduced.

Sen. David Burns, R-Whiting, is a member of the bipartisan Aging Caucus of the Legislature. Burns will give his perspective on the proposed legislation, and voice his own ideas and the source of his interest and concerns for the wellbeing of elder citizens.

Glenn Cummings, interim president of the UMA, will moderate the program, which is designed as an informational presentation, not a debate.
