Former U.S. Senate candidate Shenna Bellows and others will be at a 3 p.m. rally Saturday at the State House to speak on energy issues, environmental threats, equal rights, and trade agreements, according to a press release from Priscilla Jenkins, who is leading the Rally for Fair Trade.

Rep. Diane Russell, D-Portland, is also scheduled to speak. The group is concerned about the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade agreement that would give President Obama the authority to negotiate a trade deal with 11 Pacific nations. According to the press release, the group wants Congress to know “we don’t like what we are hearing about the trade agreements and believe them to be dangerously secret.”

The rally is set for the south side of the State House.
