West Forks boxer Brandon Berry was arrested Saturday night and charged with speeding. Police say Berry was driving 128 mph in a 45-mph zone in Madison.

Cpl. Ritchie Putnam said Berry was driving a 2007 black Saab north on U.S. Route 201 around 9:30 p.m. when he was recorded driving 128 mph by Deputy Ron Blodgett of the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office.

Putnam said Berry pulled over, was cooperative and was arrested without incident.

Driving more than 30 mph above the speed limit is a class E crime. Conviction of criminal speed, a misdemeanor, is punishable by up to $1,000 in fines and six months in jail along with a 30-day license suspension.
