Now that everybody has had the enjoyment of driving over speed bumps this happy spring, you can all rest assured that it does not have to be that way. All culverts installed properly with insulation will not move by the frost in the spring of the year.
The only reason that the culverts are not insulated properly is town employees are not told what to do to insulate a culvert. I have been told that proper insulation of culverts will not keep the roads from buckling, and I would like to have it demonstrated to me why it will not work.
The town of Yarmouth does not ever install a culvert that is not insulated and it simply does not have culverts that move with a frost in the spring. All it will take is a phone call to the town of Yarmouth to find out the facts.
