SKOWHEGAN — AudioBody, a family-friendly, electronic-comedy duo at 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 8, at Skowhegn Area High School auditorium, 61 Academy Circle. The event is presented by the Canaan Elementary PTF Group.

During the performance the two members of AudioBody let their habit of one-upping each other steer a spectacle of kaleidoscopic strobes, LED lights, juggling, music, contortion and hilarity, according to a news release from AudioBody. They create and build wacky musical inventions including a 15-foot wide drum set rigged with bungee cords, a button mashing robot, and electronic jumpsuits that create sound effects as well as play music.

AudioBody’s multifaceted training, and 19 years of experience in the performing arts, has brought them all over the U.S. and abroad.

Tickets cost $5 in advance or $7 at the door, or free for children younger than 3 years old. Tickets can be purchased at the Canaan Elementary School or by calling 474-3901. A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Canaan Elementary School Playground improvement fund. Luck of the draw auction, as well as refreshments, will be available.
