MONMOUTH — The Monmouth softball team rallied for three runs in the bottom of the sixth to grab a 4-2 win over Lisbon in a Mountain Valley Conference game Monday afternoon.

Caroline Bonenfant had a two-run single and Shannon Buzzell singled and then scored on a fielder’s choice to fuel the rally.

Katie Canning earned the win for the Mustangs (3-2), striking out 11 and walking just one. Kailyn Hill struck out eight for Lisbon (2-1).

CONY 14, HAMPDEN 2, 5 innings: Sydney Cheever had two triples, a homer and drove in eight runs to lead the Rams to the KVAC A victory at Cony Family Field in Augusta.

Winning pitcher Arika Brochu went 4-for-4 with four singles for Cony (2-2) while Haley Ward and Jamie Davis also tripled.

Hampden dropped to 0-4.

ERSKINE 12, MOUNT VIEW 10: Taylor McLaggan had two singles and two doubles to lead the Eagles to a win over the Mustangs in Thorndike.

Amber Grady had three hits, including a triple, while Emma Robertson had a single and double for Erskine (3-2).

Kersey Boulay had three singles for Mount View (1-4). Lyndsey Morong added two singles.

OAK HILL 19, ST. DOMINIC 0, 5 innings: Iris Abbott smacked a home run and Kayla Veilleux had four hits to lead the Raiders to a win over the Saints in Auburn.

Jamie Prue had four RBI for Oak Hill (2-3), while Grace Sabine added two RBI.

St. Dom’s falls to 1-3.

HALL-DALE 18, WINTHROP 0, 5 innings: Olivia Maynard had two doubles and Nicole Bodge chipped in with three singles to lead the Bulldogs to the MVC win in Farmingdale. Emma Begin finished with a pair of hits as well for Hall-Dale (4-1).

Winthrop dropped to 0-5.

MESSALONSKEE 8, MT. BLUE 0: Kirsten Pelletier struck out eight and walked none to earn the shutout win for the Eagles in Oakland.

Madisyn Charest had four hits for Messalonskee (4-1). Kristy Prelgovisk and Sarah Bragg each had three singles, while Dakota Bragg hit a single and double for the Eagles.

All three Mt. Blue (2-4) hits came in the second inning, from Rachelle Bator, Taylor Burke and Kayleigh Fontaine.

CONY 12, HAMPDEN 2, 5 innings: The Rams scored 11 runs in the fourth inning to take the KVAC A win in Augusta.

Reid Shostak hit a three-run double for Cony (3-2), and Mitchell Caron drove in three runs with a triple. Hampden dropped to 1-4.

MONMOUTH 6, LISBON 5, 8 innings: Gage Cote and winning pitcher Hunter Richardson each had two hits to help the Mustangs earn a come-from-behind MVC win in Monmouth. Nick Sanborn had a double and a single as well for Monmouth (4-1).

Noah Francis had two doubles to power Lisbon (3-1), which led 3-0 after two innings and 5-2 in the fourth.

MARANACOOK 6, LEAVITT 5: The Black Bears scored two runs on three hits in the bottom of the seventh to earn a walk-off win over the Hornets in Readfield.

Connor Ireland had three hits to pace Maranacook (4-2) and Jason Brooks came on in the sixth inning to pick up the pitching win.

Leavitt fell to 2-4 with the loss.

GIRLS LACROSSE

MESSALONSKEE 13, EDWARD LITTLE 5: India Languet scored four goals and assisted on another in the Eagles’ win over the Red Eddies in Oakland.

Lydia Dexter and Nathalie St. Pierre each had three goals and an assist for Messalonskee (3-0).

Francesca-Beth Haines had a hat trick for Edward Little (0-3).

LINCOLN 6, ERSKINE 4: Ashley Mason scored five goals as Lincoln Academy emerged from a 3-3 tie at intermission to defeat Erskine Academy in South China.

Morgan Jeane, Audrey Jordan, Michelle Lemelin and Calie Gregoire scored for the Eagles (1-2) while Malorie Weaver made 12 saves in net.
