AUGUSTA — Capital Area Technical Center recently announced its April Students of the Month, according to CATC news release.

Alicia Stafford, a Cony High School senior, is enrolled in the Early Childhood Education program. She has enjoyed the field experiences she has had in the community through this program. She liked her field experience in the second-grade classroom at Lincoln School so much that she now volunteers in there after school. She credits the program for helping her narrow down the career she wants to pursue. Her instructor, Erin Sirois said in the release, “Alicia will be a great elementary school teacher.” In the fall, Stafford will attend University of Maine at Farmington and plans to major in elementary education and minor in special education.

Nick Seile, a senior from Cony High School senior, is enrolled in the Law Enforcement Academy. He has enjoyed working as a team with his classmates this year. He feels the entire program has taught him a lot, and is surprised in what he has learned in just one year. His instructor, Peter Couture said in the release, “Nick has displayed professionalism, discipline, integrity and strong work ethics throughout the school year. He is very focused, attentive and has exemplary morals and values.” In the fall, Seile will attend University of Maine at Orono and pursue his passion of physical fitness.
