BETHEL — Ben Caprara went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and Matt Ingram was 2-for-4 with an RBI as the Winthrop baseball team sank Telstar 8-2 in a Mountain Valley Conference game Wednesday afternoon.

Jacob Hickey pitched a complete game, striking out five and allowing no earned runs, to earn the victory for Winthrop (8-2).

Tanner Wheeler went 2-for-4 to lead Telstar (3-9).

MT. BLUE 4, CONY 3: Ryan Pratt and Brad Durrell each had doubles to lead the Cougars to a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference A win in Farmington.

Amos Herrin earned the win for Mt. Blue (6-6). He also had two singles.

Tayler Carrier and Mitchell Caron each had doubles for Cony (7-5). Thomas Foster had two singles.

MESSALONSKEE 3, BRUNSWICK 2: Ben Frazee had an RBI triple and Jonathan Wilkie added an RBI single to lead the Eagles to the KVAC A victory in Oakland.

Wilkie finished with two RBIs. Nick Mayo struck out six in six innings to earn the victory. Jake Dexter struck out two in a scoreless seventh inning to earn the save.

Elias Heaze had an RBI single for the Dragons (6-6).

RICHMOND 16, BUCKFIELD 3: Richmond exploded for 10 runs in the sixth inning to pull away from Buckfield in an East-West Conference matchup.

Zach Small and Cameron Emmons led the Bobcats (10-1) offensively with three hits apiece. Small had a double and Emmons drove in three runs. Tyler Soucy also had three hits and Brady Johnson added a double. Mike Stewart allowed two hits and fanned eight for the complete game victory.

HALL-DALE 3, MT. ABRAM 1: Bobby Cumler, Brian Allen and Josh Berberich each doubled to help Hall-Dale earn the MVC win in Farmingdale.

Cole Lockhart earned the win for Hall-Dale (8-4). Hunter York doubled for Mt. Abram (2-10).

LAWRENCE 2, SKOWHEGAN 1: Cody Martin struck out 14 and allowed just three hits to help the Bulldogs to a KVAC A victory in Skowhegan.

Lawrence (3-9) scored the winning run in the bottom of the fifth inning, when Tyler Lewis scored on a delayed double steal. Martin and Lewis each had two hits for the Bulldogs.

Nate Morris homered for Skowhegan (3-9).

LISBON 10, CARRABEC 1: Ryley Austin and Noah Francis collected three hits apiece as Lisbon took the MVC tilt.

Austin Fournier and Nick Lerette added two hits each for the Greyhounds (9-3). Dustin Crawford drove in the lone run for the Cobras (6-6) with a single.

SOFTBALL

MOUNTAIN VALLEY 4, OAK HILL 2: Erin Flaherty had two hits to lead the Falcons to the MVC victory in Wales.

Flaherty also drove in a pair of runs.

Oak Hill dropped to 8-4.

LAWRENCE 7, SKOWHEGAN 6: Sydney Knowlton went 4-for-4 with three RBIs as the Bulldogs edged the Indians in a KVAC A game in Skowhegan.Kaie Lindsay doubled for Lawrence (4-8) as well.

Renee Wright and Wiley Bedard each had two singles for the Indians (8-4).Tara Bedard had a triple and a single as well. She also drove in a pair.

MESSALONSKEE 12, BRUNSWICK 0, five innings: Madisyn Charest threw a perfect game in her varsity debut and had a big day at the plate as Messalonskee blanked Brunswick in Oakland.

Charest struck out eight and helped her own cause with a double and two singles. MollyAn Killingbeck, Hannah Duperry, Kirsten Pelletier and Cassidy Baker also had three hits for the Eagles (10-2).

MONMOUTH 21, WISCASSET 1, 5 innings: Caroline Bonenfant belted a double and a triple as Monmouth thumped Wiscasset.

Maddie Neal had a double and drove in three for the Mustangs (7-5). Sarah Scott added a triple and Hannah Anderson a double for Monmouth.

RICHMOND 6, BUCKFIELD 1: Meranda Martin struck out six and issued no walks as the Bobcats rolled in Buckfield.

Martin and Sidney Tilton each had a double for Richmond (10-0).

Courtney Lowell had a double for Buckfield (7-5).

CARRABEC 6, LISBON 5: Bailey Dunphy had four hits, including a triple, and three RBIs to lead the Cobras to the MVC win in North Anson.

Kilee Nile had two singles for the Cobras (8-4), who rallied back from a 5-0 deficit with three runs in the fifth inning and three more in the sixth. Lexi Cowan also had an RBI single for Carrabec.

Sam LeBeau pitched a complete game, striking out seven, to earn the victory.

Molly Nicholson had a double and a single to lead Lisbon (5-6).

MADISON 29, ST. DOM’S 0: Kayla Bess went 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs and Erin Whalen went 3-for-6 with three RBIs to lead Madison to the MVC victory.

Alyssa Hurst also drove in three runs for the Bulldogs (11-1).

Jenelle Bryant had two hits to lead the Saints (1-11).

BOYS LACROSSE

MT. ARARAT 11, CONY 5: Joel Bennett scored two goals, but it wasn’t enough for the Rams in an Eastern A game in Augusta.

Chad Bickford, Bret Sproul and Logan Testerman each added goals for Cony (4-5). Cam Gallant made 25 saves.

Mt. Ararat improved to 4-5.

CAMDEN HILLS 12, ERSKINE 9: Morgan Jeane and Michelle Lemelin each scored three goals for the Eagles in Camden.

Christina Hodgkins, Kyley Drummond and Erin Wood each added a goal for Erskine (1-8). Haylay Hinds had two assists.

Katherine Orne scored seven goals for Camden Hills (3-5).
