The Winslow Family 4th of July kicked off Wednesday with a slate of classic, acoustic and bluegrass bands finishing the night with Draw the Line, billed as “the world’s greatest” Aerosmith cover band.

Bands started playing at noon and the drizzling rain kept crowds small, but event director Kevin Douglass said the rain wouldn’t stop the music at the Fort Halifax Park pavilion.

The music kicked off with classic rock band Right Amount of Wrong to be followed by Joel & Lenny Acoustic Duo, Back Woods Road Bluegrass Band and then Draw the Line at 8 p.m.

A 4th of July Idol competition was on the schedule for 6 p.m.

Events continue for the next three days, culminating at 9:30 p.m. Saturday with fireworks.
