FARMINGTON — A Farmington woman has been charged with felony burglary and misdemeanor theft after a break-in.
According to Farmington Police Chief Jack Peck, Bridget Flaherty, 23, of Farmington, was charged after breaking into the Octagon House on Perham Street. The house is owned by the Farmington Historical Society.
A 21-year-old woman was with Flaherty, and Peck said Friday charges against her are pending.
Flaherty might have gotten away with taking a book and a picture frame from the building had she not dropped her debit card at the scene, making it easier for officers to track her down, Peck said. Flaherty is due to appear in court Aug. 25.
