Whitefield Lions Club recently announced this year’s Charity Golf Tournament winners. The event was held July 11 at the Sheepscot Links Golf Club in Whitefield.

The winners were Mike Petella, Adam James, Corey Gero and Travis Marquis, with low gross score of 62, according to a news release from the club.

Ryan Carter, Larry Carter, Tim Bader and Andrew Johnston earned low net score of 45. Jayne Marcellino won closest to the pin on hole 8. Richard MacDonald won closet to the pin on hole 2. Corey Gero won for men’s longest drive.

All club members contributed and volunteered time to put this tournament together. Proceeds raised will benefit the club’s general fund which supports local, state, national and international folks in need. The local club supports the area schools, food banks, blood drives, nursing homes, local towns where there families that have emergencies such as house fires, or other needs, according to the release.
