Leah Bowden, of Hallowell, recently attended Modern Woodmen of America’s Merit Club Leadership Conference in St. Louis, Missouri. Bowden was one of approximately 360 youth service club leaders from across the United States who earned the opportunity to take part in the annual conference, according to a news release from Modern Woodmen.
Bowden, a Modern Woodmen youth service club leader for 28 years, qualified for the conference because her club completed a variety of projects in 2014. These projects focused on volunteerism, patriotism, education and fun.
