Specialist adds culinary kick to the season, sharing recipes with local home cooks

AUGUSTA — Taste of Home’s Culinary Specialist Amy Zarichnak will be featured at the Taste of Home Cooking School set for 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at the Augusta Civic Center. Zarichnak will share home cooking tips and tricks while demonstrating step-by-step recipes for the season’s best dishes. This season’s event is brought to central Maine by the Kennebec Journal and Morning Sentinel. Major sponsor for this year’s event is MaineGeneral Health. Stage sponsors include: Appliance Sponsor: Fortin’s Home Furnishings; Furniture Sponsor: Steve’s Appliance; Cabinetry Sponsor: Hammond Lumber, and Grocery Sponsor: Hannaford Supermarkets.

Attendees will receive a gift bag including the Taste of Home Cooking School magazine. This magazine includes recipes featured during the program, along with many more, as well as coupons and other goodies from participating national food companies and local businesses and sponsors. Some attendees will go home with an exciting door prize or one of the tasty recipes created onstage that night.

Tickets cost $15 for general admission, $25 premium and $45 VIP. Ticket are available online at www.centralmaine.com.
