Work on the roof of the Bureau of Motor Vehicles’ main office at 101 Hospital St. in Augusta is complete, and office workers will be moving back to the building this week, according to a news release from the Department of the Secretary of State.
During roofing work this summer, some staffers have been working at 32 Blossom Lane in the Marquardt Building across the street. Those workers will be moved back to the Hospital Street location this week, but the department doesn’t anticipate a disruption in services to the public.
The move will occur in phases and is expected to be complete by Friday, according to the release.
Another local motor vehicle office at 19 Anthony Ave. in Augusta is unaffected by the move.
