WINSLOW — In observance of the 2015 National Day of Remembrance of Aborted Children a memorial service is planned for 1-2:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12. This event will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 26 Monument St. A reception will follow in the cafeteria.
People are invited to join more than 100 United States communities mourning the more than 55 million victims of legalized abortion, according to a news release from Citizens for a Pro-Life Society, Priests for Life and the Pro-Life Action League, co-sponsors of this third annual event.
Guest speakers will include Teresa McCann Tumidajski of Maine Right to Life and Carroll Conley of the Christian Civic League of Maine.
The service is non-denominational and will include music, hymns, prayer and thoughtful reflection with the Rev. Jacques Dolbec of Blessed Sacrament Convent & Chapel, according to the release.
