GARDINER — Logan Granholm was 6-for-6 in saves and Lauren Chadwick stopped all four shots she faced as the Gardiner girls soccer team snapped a two-game losing skid with a scoreless draw to Morse in a Class B game Thursday afternoon.

Marissa Barks stopped seven shots for the Shipbuilders (5-3-3), who played their second 0-0 game in six days.

Morse and Maranacook played to a scoreless tie last Friday.

Gardiner, which had lost consecutive games to Maine Central Institute and Leavitt, moved to 5-4-2.

ST. DOMINIC 3, WINTHROP 0: Three different Saints scored to assure a shutout win for the Saints in Winthrop. Alexandra Hammerton, Avery Lutrzykowski and Kritina Cornelio all found the back of the net. In net for Winthrop, Shie Smith made 16 saves in the first half and Amber Raymond stopped four shots in the second half.

HALL-DALE 5, TELSTAR 0: Josh Berberich and Tyler Dubois each had a goal and an assist to lead the Bulldogs to the MVC victory.

Malcolm Avore, Eli Smith and Tyler Nadeau also scored for Hall-Dale (8-0-2).

Andy Peterson had two saves for the Bulldogs while Tanner Wheeler had 27 for the Rebels (4-7-1).

GARDINER 1, MORSE 0: Larsson Lunt scored the game’s only goal with 28:09 to go to lift Gardiner to victory over Morse.

Peter DelGallo assisted on Lunt’s goal. Kenneth Moore made four saves to preserve the shutout for the Tigers (6-4-1). Alex Fernald stopped nine shots in net for Morse (3-7-1).

FIELD HOCKEY

GARDINER 2, BELFAST 1: Freshman Amanda Cameron scored the game-winner with 20:57 remaining as the Tigers edged the Lions in Belfast.

Bri Brochu also scored for Gardiner (11-2), while Maddy Walker and Hailey Lovely contributed assists. Kaylin Mansir made one save in the cage. Alicia Gaiero had the lone goal for Belfast (10-3).
