FARMINGTON — The University of Maine at Farmington scored twice in the final 15:06 to rally to a 2-1 win over Thomas in a North Atlantic Conference field hockey game on Saturday.

Thomas took a 1-0 lead in the 42nd minute on Taylor Bergeron’s unassisted goal. Emma Martineau scored the equalizer in the 55th minute, then Messalonskee graduate Mara Balboni scored the game-winner off a penalty corner with an assist from Mount View grad Delainey Kein.

Abbie Charrier, another Mount View grad, made three saves in the cage for Thomas (6-7, 2-1 NAC). Patty Smith stopped two shots for UMF (6-3, 2-1).

WOMEN’S SOCCER

CASTLETON 6, UMAINE-FARMINGTON 1: Mallory Costello scored two goals to lead Castleton State to the convincing win over UMF at Leib Field.

Lydia Roy, of Waterville, scored the lone goal for the Beavers (3-8-1, 0-4-1).

WESLEYAN 3, COLBY 2: Colby fell behind 3-0 and saw its rally come up short against Wesleyan in a NESCAC match played in Middletown, Connecticut.

Aliza Van Leesten scored both goals for the Mules (3-6-1, 0-5-1).

THOMAS 4, GREEN MOUNTAIN 1: Camille Filloramo scored a hat trick to lead Thomas to victory over Green Mountain in an NAC match in Waterville.

Lauren Pelletier scored the fourth goal for the Terriers (6-5-0, 3-1-0), while Erskine Academy product Paige Leary made 10 saves in net. Meagan Laymon scored on a penalty kick for the Eagles (0-9-0, 0-4-0).

WOMEN’S ICE HOCKEY

QUINNIPIAC 5, MAINE 1: Quinnipiac jumped out to a 4-0 lead to knock off Maine in Orono.

Cassidy Herman scored the lone goal for the Black Bears (1-3-0), while Meghann Treacy totaled 35 saves in net.

THOMAS 15, GREEN MOUNTAIN 1: Josh Emard, D.J. Nicholas and Ibrahim Moustapher scored three goals apiece to lead the Terriers in an NAC rout of Green Mountain in Waterville. Baramee Janla added two goals and an assist for Thomas (7-4-0, 3-1-0).

CASTLETON 3, UMAINE-FARMINGTON 0: Amir Pasic earned his sixth shutout of the season as the Spartans blanked the Beavers in a NAC match at Leib Field.

Solo Felekeni, Derek Blouin and Blake Hart scored for Castleton (9-3-1, 5-0-0). Matt Wilson made three saves in net for the Beavers (3-6-2, 1-3-1).

WESLEYAN 3, COLBY 0: Adam Cowie-Haskell tallied a goal and an assist as Wesleyan blanked Colby in a NESCAC match in Middletown, Connecticut.

Tyler Mulberry made eight saves in net for the Mules (2-6-2, 1-4-1).

GOLF

RUTLAND, Vermont — Freshman Eric Aguiar and sophomore Michael Aguiar both shot 166 to lead the University of Maine at Farmington to a fifth-place finish in the North Atlantic Conference golf championships.

Husson won the conference title by 18 strokes over Salem State.

WOMEN’S CREW

WORCESTER, Massachusetts — Colby’s varsity 8 placed fifth out of 26 crews at the Quinsigamond Snake Regatta.

The Mules finished with a time of 16:13.562 to edge Middlebury. Wellesley won the race, followed by Bates.
