FARMINGTON — Waterville graduate Lydia Roy had a goal and an assist to lead the University of Maine at Farmington to a 3-0 victory over Green Mountain College in a North Atlantic Conference women’s soccer match Sunday.

Ashley Gleason had a goal and two assists for the Beavers (4-8-1, 1-4-1 NAC), while Sam Hatch (six saves) and Kiana Thompson (two saves) each played a half in goal to pick up the shutout.

CASTLETON 4, THOMAS 0: Eva Clark scored a hat trick to lead Castleton to a shutout win in Waterville.

Paige Leary made 14 saves and Jessica Binkowski four saves in net for the Terriers (6-6, 3-2).

MAINE 1, UMBC 0: Claudia Dube-Trempe made four saves to earn her sixth shutout of the season as Maine picked up an America East win over University of Maryland-Baltimore County.

Charlene Achille scored the lone goal for Maine (7-5-1, 2-1-1) on a penalty kick with 18 minutes remaining.

FIELD HOCKEY

MAINE 3, VERMONT 1: Sydney Veljacic, Cassidy Svetek and Libby Riedl scored to lead Maine to an America East win in Burlington.

Emily Corbett made four saves in the cage for the Black Bears (12-2, 3-0).

MEN’S SOCCER

THOMAS 3, CASTLETON 0: Willie Clemons tallied a goal and an assist to lead Thomas to a NAC win over Castleton in Waterville.

Josh Emard and Lukas Bohman also scored for the Terriers (8-4, 4-1), while Joakin Sternas earned the shutout with four saves.

UMF 8, GREEN MOUNTAIN COLLEGE 1: Ibrahim Achekh recorded a hat trick in the second half to lift the Beavers to a convincing NAC victory.

Luke Sterling and Yusuf Yama each added a goal and an assist for the Beavers (4-6-2, 2-3-1).
