PORTLAND – Gas prices in Maine have not moved in the past week, averaging $2.25 a gallon.

The result is from Gasbuddy.com, which surveyed 1,228 gas stations in the state.

The national average increased 2.7 cents, to $2.31 a gallon.

The price in Maine was $1.04 less per gallon than a year ago, and 11.1 cents per gallon lower than a month ago. The national average decreased 3.1 4 cents per gallon during the last month and is 88 cents lower than a year ago.
