WINSLOW — Mr. and Mrs. F. William Zimba celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 28, 2015.
Zimba and the former Patricia Audet were married Aug. 28, 1965, at St. Francis de Sales Church in Waterville. The Rev. Gerard J. Parent performed the ceremony.
They were honored by family at Governors Restaurant. Cake knife/server, goblets, cake top and anniversary candle were those used by her parents. They will be passed down for use by all future family 50th anniversary celebrations with names/dates engraved on the knife/server.
Mrs. Zimba is retired. She was employed 20 years by the family business, Zimba Company.
Zimba also is retired. He was owner of Zimba Company for 30 years.
They have three children, Jeffrey and his wife, Angela, of Fairfield; Cheryl and her husband, Blaine Anthony, of Benton; and Gregory and his wife, Wanda, of Benton; five grandchildren, Jordan, Drake, Nicholas, Courtney and Chauntelle; and one great-grandson, Wyatt.
