A fiscal conservative, social liberal, a member of the declining productive class, I know Social Security disability is bankrupt and is now funded by Social Security retirement, which is now backed by 50 percent Treasury Bills and 50 percent subprime mortgages.
And this happens while we spend two cents to make one cent, fund six undeclared wars, loan money to the banks at 0.02 percent who place it in excess reserves at a greater rate, with money velocity at near zero, interest rates at 0 percent, and the printing presses roll on based upon our confidence.
Do we need to sell our strategic oil reserves in an oil glut for rock-bottom price to fund daily needs?
Our last experiment with fiat currency resulted in every private holder being paid zero while the bond holders were fully redeemed in gold or silver. Does that sound familiar?
