An Oakland woman was arrested Monday morning after allegedly assaulting a man and threatening him with a knife.
Joanna Humphrey, 19, of Heritage Road, was arrested about 10:19 a.m. at an Oak Hill Drive residence and charged with criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon and domestic violence assault.
Oakland police Capt. Rick Stubbert said there was an altercation at the residence, and Humphrey assaulted a man she had a domestic relationship with.
School resource officers Tracy Frost and Todd Burbank responded to a report about the incident at the residence, and two other Oakland officers arrived as backup, Stubbert said.
Oak Hill Drive is near Messalonskee High School, but the incident was not related to anything at the school, Stubbert said.
Humphrey was not armed when police came to the residence, and the assault victim was not hospitalized, he said. One other person was at the residence at the time of the incident, and Stubbert was unsure who called the police.
Humphrey was denied bail and was taken to the Kennebec County jail in Augusta.
