SOUTH CHINA — Taylor McLaggan had four singles and three RBIs to spark the Erskine Academy softball team to a 13-1, six-inning win over Belfast in Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B play on Wednesday.

Amber Grady and Mallory Chamberlain added two singles apiece for Erskine (1-2). Kayla Hodgkins earned the win in the circle, allowing only two hits.

Vanessa Grotton tripled for Belfast (2-2).

GARDINER 12, WATERVILLE 2: Bri Brochu had a home run and two singles to lead the Tigers to the KVAC B win.

Kylie Sirois added a double and two singles for Gardiner (1-2) while Julia Nadeau had a double and a single. Jillian Bisson earned the pitching win.

Coby Dangler homered and singled for Waterville (0-4). Brooklyn LeClair and Madison Clowes each had two singles.

HALL-DALE 4, CARRABEC 0: Becca Ackerson pitched a no-hitter, striking out 12 and walking one to lift the Bulldogs to the Mountain Valley Conference win in Farmingdale.

Grace Begin led the offense with a single and a double for Hall-Dale (2-1).

Carrabec fell to 1-2.

MESSALONSKEE 3, BREWER 0: Kirsten Pelletier tossed a three-hitter, striking out 13 and walking one, to lead the Eagles to the KVAC A win in Oakland.

Hannah Duperry had two singles and an RBI for Messalonskee (4-0) while Sarah Labbe had a double.

Brewer fell to 1-3.

BANGOR 11, LAWRENCE 5: The Rams scored three runs in each of the final two innings to pull away for a KVAC A win in Fairfield.

Megan Conner had three hits for Bangor (3-1) while Sarah Bragg singled and homered. Haley Holt had a single and a double to pace Lawrence (2-2).

SKOWHEGAN 15, CAMDEN HILLS 2, 5 innings: Maliea Kelso had three singles and a triple as the Indians rolled over the Windjammers in Rockport.

Tara Bernard added two singles and a triple for Skowhegan (2-2) while Sydney Ames singled and tripled.

Amanda McFarland and Madelyn Bowman had the two hits for Camden Hills (0-4).

MT. BLUE 8, LAWRENCE 7, 30T: Connor Rouillard scored off an assist from Reed Wells with 21 seconds remaining in the third overtime to lift the Cougars to a KVAC B win over the Bulldogs in Fairfield.

Lawrence (1-1) was up one in the final minute of regulation when Cordell Ellis tied it up for Mt. Blue (1-1) off an assist from Wells, who finished with three goals and three assists.

Connor Martin finished with three goals for the Bulldogs while Gunner McAllister and Tyler Larouche each scored twice.

MESSALONSKEE 13, MT. ARARAT 7: Connor Smith scored six goals to pace Messalonskee to the KVAC A win in Oakland.

Jack Bernatchez and Dylan Jones each added two goals and two assists for Messalonskee (2-1) while Dylan Burton, Will Weeks and Alden Balboni had one goal apiece. C.J. Reardon made 30 saves.

Elliot Pressman and Steven Schuman had two goals apiece for Mt. Ararat (1-2) while Andrew Waltz, Sawyer Watson and Mark Abreau scored one goal each. Parker Lacey made three saves.

BASEBALL

WATERVILLE 3, GARDINER 0: Dalton Wood pitched a complete-game four-hitter to lift the host Purple Panthers to the KVAC B win.

Wood finished with eight strikeouts and three walks. Justin Wentworoth led the offense with three singles for Waterville (1-3) while Adam Barre and Cody Pellerin had two singles apiece.

Devon Maschino, Hunter Chasse, Logan Peacock and Kolton Brochu each singled for Gardiner (2-1).

HAMPDEN 5, MT. BLUE 2: Tommy Farrar had two hits and picked up the win on the mound for the Broncos in a KVAC B game played in Farmington.

Jackson Gilmore and Billy Campbell chipped in with two hits apiece for Hampden (2-2). Kyle Farrington had a single and a double for Mt. Blue (0-4).

MADISON 10, WINTHROP 7: Ryan Emery had a single, double and three RBIs to help the Bulldogs hold off the Ramblers in an MVC contest played in Madison.

Madison (3-0) took the lead for good on an RBI single by Evan Bess that scored Sean Whalen in the bottom of the third inning. Winthrop fell to 0-2 with the loss.

SKOWHEGAN 5, CAMDEN HILLS 2: Brendan Curran and Kyle Dugas each had two singles and an RBI to pace the Indians to the KVAC A win in Rockport.

Curran also earned the win on the mound, allowing four hits and striking out three for Skowhegan (3-1). Cam Doucette added a double.

Cam Gushee had two singles for Camden Hills (1-3).

ERSKINE 3, BELFAST 2: Cody Beaudoin drove in pinch runner Dakota Stoops with the winning run in the bottom of the sixth as Erskine edged Belfast in South China.

Zack Glidden picked up the win in relief, nailing the game down for the Eagels (2-1) in the seventh by striking out the side.

BANGOR 1, LAWRENCE 0: Trevor Delaite allowed just three hits and struck out 11 to help the Rams hold on for a shutout win in a KVAC A game played in Fairfield.

Jesse Colford and George Paine each had two singles to pace Bangor (4-0), which scored the game’s only run in the top of the fifth inning.

Braden Ballard was the tough-luck losing pitcher for Lawrence (3-1), while Eric Jackson kept the Rams off the scoreboard after taking over in the fifth inning.

BREWER 6, MESSALONSKEE 1: Logan and Kobe Rogerson each had three singles to pace the Witches to a KVAC A win over the Eagles in Oakland.

Alex Brooks added a pair of singles for Brewer (1-3) while Jack Corey went six innings to pick up the win on the mound.

Sam Bell notched two singles for Messalonskee (3-1) and Connor Garland doubled.
