Former Gov. John Baldacci and Bangor City Councilor Joe Baldacci will host a spaghetti supper May 11 in Augusta to highlight their support for an increase in the minimum wage, according to a news release from the brothers.

The Baldacci brothers will cook their family spaghetti sauce that was served at the former Momma Baldacci’s restaurant in Bangor. Proceeds will benefit local charities, according to the release.

The cost is $5 per person.

Augusta City Council members Dale McCormick, Linda Conti and Anna Blodgett are co-hosts of the event, which will run from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Cony High School, at 60 Pierce Drive.

Voters in November will be asked whether they support increasing the state’s minimum wage to $12 an hour by 2020.
