AUGUSTA — The Kennebec Historical Society will celebrates its 125th birthday from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 7, at the Society’s headquarters, 107 Winthrop St.

The public is invited to celebrate with punch and cake. Deb Sandler will provide music on her Celtic harp. At 2:30 p.m., Kennebec County Commissioner Patsy Crockett will proclaim May 7, 2016, Kennebec Historical Society Day.

There will also be an exhibit highlighting the history of the society in the display cases on the second floor of the Civic Center during the month of May.
