SIDNEY — A Memorial Day parade and dedication is set for 10 a.m. Monday, May 30, at the Town Hall and will last about one hour. Along with the parade, a monument dedication for the past Sidney veterans and to people of Sidney is planned.

The Brick Committee (part of the Sidney Historical Society) has worked for five years to raise funds and were able to raise approximately $20,000 through food sales, brick sales and other fundraising activities!

Events will featuere Sen. Roger Katz, the Messalonskee high school band, a three-round gun salute by minutemen, a bag piper, marching veterans, Col. Donald Legace will be the emcee, and the Boy Scouts will serve lunch after the parade.

The Sidney Historical Society and the Grange will be open for visitors.
