It’s great to see democracy in action in Senate District 14 (Chelsea, Farmingdale, Gardiner, Hallowell, Manchester, Monmouth, Pittston, Randolph, Readfield, West Gardiner and Winthrop), where several candidates are running to represent us.

The choice for me is simple, though — I’ll be voting for Shenna Bellows in the Democratic primary June 14. Shenna really understands what people are going through, with jobs ever more precarious and families struggling. Gridlock in Augusta has prevented Mainers from participating in federally funded health care, and halted future-oriented initiatives to create sustainable jobs such as in renewable energy.

From my own time in the Legislature, I’ve seen first-hand how Shenna gets things done. She listens to everyone, has forged coalitions including left, right and center, and brings an optimism and energy we sorely need in our government. Please join me on Tuesday, June 14, and vote for Shenna Bellows for Senate.
