BELFAST — Our Town Belfast will open its new office, 107 Main St., to the public from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Friday, June, 24, and learn more about the organization during June’s Fourth Friday Artwalk. There will be wine and light refreshments served.

The organization will reveal its new OTB T-shirts and host a meet and greet with the designing artist, Hannah Krietzer. The T-shirt illustration is a celebration of Belfast’s history through animals of note: the chicken, a symbol of working class values and the time when Belfast was the poultry processing capital of the world; the elephant, representative of Baby Hawthorne at the Colonial Theatre and the historic Barnum parade march of elephants down Main Street circa 1885; and the bear, indicative of the Belfast Bearfest, one of the forces behind Belfast’s revival as a community that wears its art on its streets.
