RANGELEY — Foreigner will perform a benefit concert at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 30, at the Rangeley Wellness Pavilion.

With their debut album “Eyes To The Sun” in 2009, The bands pop rock made them a fan favorite as they toured with the likes of Mayday Parade and The All-American Rejects, scoring music cues on MTV’s Real World: Cancun and winning MTV/Garnier’s “I Want My Music On MTV” battle of the bands contest. Hitting the road hard in 2011 in support of “Worst Thing I’ve Been Cursed With,” the band’s second full-length album was a step forward for the band, blending sassy lyrics and the dynamic, unique vocals of front man Alex Roy into the melodic, infectious songs the five-piece have become known for. Along with Alex Roy on vocals/guitar, the band is comprised of Toby McAllister on guitar, Nate Spencer on drums, and Matt “Peach” Petrin on Bass. From signing with a west coast rock label to touring overseas the band has grown up together while seeing the world. They have traveled throughout the nation and toured with the All American Rejects, Sum 41, Forever the Sickest Kids, All Time Low, and more. With residencies in Key West, Boston and Atlantic City, Maine is where these guys call home. They are currently playing clubs and venues throughout New England.

The day will open with a local favorite, the Elmore Twist band, based out of Windham. This classic rock band has been playing together for over 20 years. With a wide expanse of cover tunes, they also have 13 original songs that round out their live shows, performing in clubs and events throughout the state. The Elmore Twist band has also opened for Foreigner and the Doobie Brothers and will surely provide for a great start to an amazing day of music!

Sparks the Rescue, the high energy pop rock band from Portland, will open the show.
