A mock mass casualty training exercise is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Kaplan University, 14 Marketplace Drive in Augusta.

University students and the Augusta police and fire departments will take part in the exercise designed to improve response times and effectiveness, according to a press release from the university.

The exercise is part of the university’s community health course and will help students identify areas of improvement with on-site emergency care.
