Robert Clement, writing as R. Wesley Clement, has released his latest novel, “Are You Going to Skowhegan Fair?”

According to the author’s website, the book tells the story of two people who go back the town where they grew up and bring more than memories back with them. The Skowhegan Fair is offering up a different spectacle in the summer of 1963, and the county seat becomes a hot bed for rumors and finger-pointing while the class of 1964 is trying to create their own legacy. The nation as a whole seems intent on forcing these kids to grow up in a hurry.

Born and raised in Somerset County, and now living in Palm Coast, Florida, Robert Clement was an educator for 29 years.

Upcoming book signings:

• 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 6 at Quinn Hardware in Skowhegan

• Aug. 11-20 at the Skowhegan State Fair

• Saturday, Aug. 27 at Douins Market in New Sharon
