WATERVILLE — The first of four Waterville Rocks! concerts was held Thursday evening but was moved from the planned outside venue of Castonguay Square to inside the Waterville Opera House as storms blew through the region.

The lineup on Thursday included Yard Sail, a 2016 Maine Academy of Modern Music Slam Battle of the Bands runner-up; Sweet & Savory; Chris Ross & The North, a 2014 New England Music Awards Songwriter of the Year winner; Emilia Dahlin; and The Jason Spooner Band.

The free concert series, hosted by the opera house and sponsored by a variety of area businesses, continues with shows on Aug. 11, Aug. 25 and Sept. 22. The concerts are planned to be outdoors in Castonguay Square in downtown Waterville, weather permitting.
