Tickets for the 2016 Common Ground Country Fair are on sale at retail outlets throughout Maine and online through Brown Paper Tickets. The Fair will take place September 23, 24 and 25 at MOFGA’s Common Ground Education Center in Unity. Gates open at 9 a.m. each day.
More than 60,000 visitors attend the fair, many purchase their tickets at the gates when they arrive. While the volunteer ticket-sellers and -takers make every effort to move the crowds swiftly through the entrances, the lines can be long. MOFGA encourages those who can purchase their tickets in advance to do so. All fairgoers holding advance tickets can go directly to the front of the ticket lines.
Fair admission fees: adults (ages 13-64), $10 in advance, $15 at the gate; elders (ages 65-plus), $8 in advance, $10 at the gate; children (12 and younger), handicapped citizens, school groups,free.
If you bike or take the train from Unity or Thorndike, you get $2 off admission.
