DAMARISCOTTA — Spectrum Generations will provide a three-day training seminar from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Aug. 11, 23 and 25, at the Coastal Community Center for community members who want to become advocates for Medicare beneficiaries, their families, and caregivers to prevent, detect, and report health care fraud, errors and abuse through outreach, counseling and education.

Volunteers will be provided with the education and tools needed to understand Medicare, supplemental insurance and Maine Care benefits so that they can help people in your community reduce these fraudulent activities.

Spectrum Generations Aging and Disability Resource program is looking for volunteers who have the maturity, compassion and patience to help others and to join the Spectrum team. Volunteers will also receive training on the Medicare benefits, programs and savings assistance so you can help others navigate the system.
