HALLOWELL — The second annual Woodstock Revival and Art Walk will take place from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 14, at Granite City Park along the Kennebec River.

Bob Colwell of The Root Cellar Recording Studio is producing the show with professional live entertainers and will be true to the music of Woodstock. Only songs sung at the original Woodstock in 1969 will be performed.

The free concert, hosted by the Hallowell Area Board of Trade, is a family event, so bring blankets and chairs. Many Hallowell businesses will be open to accommodate concert-goers. This year the organization is raising funds for Camp Postcard, a division of Volunteers of America. The camp helps 5th and 6th graders build relationships, learn life skills, reduce high school dropout rates and more. The event is staffed by volunteer law enforcement officers from around the state of Maine, proceeds will help send a few kids to camp. The bandana flags can be purchased at the event and throughout the city for $2. Donors can write a message of peace and love that was shared during the original Woodstock event.
