TradeRev, which makes mobile apps and vehicle appraisal and auctioning systems for automotive dealers, has launched operations in the Northeast including Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Hampshire and Maine.

TradeRev, based in Carmel, Indiana, said it plans to hire 10 workers in Maine as part of the regional expansion.

“Since we launched our aggressive expansion into the United States, getting boots-on-the-ground in this key automotive region has been a major focus,” TradeRev Executive Vice President Keith Crerar said in a press statement released Thursday. “Launching in the Northeast gives us the opportunity to reach a new market of dealers and introduce them to our ground-breaking solution that will ultimately change the way they do business.”

TradeRev said it plans to hire a total of 10 market sales manager positions in the Northeast region, along with additional staff. Hiring is underway and will continue until all positions are filled, it said.

TradeRev uses digital technology to enable dealers to launch live, real-time, one-hour auctions, while allowing buyers to purchase vehicles from wherever they are via their mobile devices.

The company said its technology has revolutionized the process of selling vehicles, making it more productive and profitable for dealers while allowing them to close more deals, minimize risks during the trade-in process and sell vehicles quickly at a reduced expense.
