For Republicans, disagreeing with Donald Trump’s outrageous statements and positions, or even condemning them, is futile if they say that, nevertheless, they will vote for their party’s nominee. How is that different from the individual who publicly disapproves of illegal drugs but privately buys them?
You can publicly disapprove of a man you know is unfit to be president, but what will you do in the privacy of the voting booth? Vote your conscience or vote your party?
