BREWER — Brewer scored a pair of unanswered touchdowns in the fourth quarter to grab hold of a wild shootout and win a battle of unbeatens, 54-41 over Skowhegan.
Trey Wood’s third and fourth touchdowns of the night sealed the win for Brewer.
The teams went into halftime tied at 28 and Skowhegan took a 41-40 lead into the fourth.
The win moves Brewer to 4-0, while Skowhegan falls to 3-1.
MCI 42, MATTANAWCOOK 6: Eli Bussell scored three touchdowns and gained 113 yards of offense to lead the Huskies to the Little Ten Conference win in Lincoln.
Adam Bertrand, David Young and Pedro Matos also scored for MCI (4-0). The Lynx dropped to 1-3.
MOUNT VIEW 47, HOULTON 13: Darrin Cook ran for 147 yards and two touchdowns as the Mustangs took the LTC win in Houlton.
Colby Furrow had 72 yards rushing and scored two to touchdowns for Mount View (3-1). Houlton is now 2-2.
