SOUTH CHINA — Freshman Haymanot Maynard scored twice as the Erskine Academy girls soccer team beat Leavitt 2-1 in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B match on Tuesday afternoon.

Jordan Jowett added an assist for Erskine (7-1-1), while Caitlin Labbe and Taylor Shute combined to make four saves.

Shannon O’Malley scored for Leavitt (4-3-0). Shelby Varney made 16 saves in the loss.

MCI 2, BELFAST 1: Alahna McCarron and Ciera Hamlin scored for the Huskies in a KVAC B win in Pittsfield.

Eliot Ripley scored for Belfast. Madison Boutwell made eight saves to earn the win for MCI (3-4-1). Shea Hilt had five stops for the Lions (0-8-0).

WATERVILLE 6, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 0: Anika Elias had two goals and an assist to pace the Purple Panthers in a KVAC B shutout in Waterville.

Sophie Webb had two goals for Waterville (9-0). Mackenzie St. Pierre added a goal and two assists, while Jordan Jabar scored a goal.

TT Brandon and Ally Drew combined for the shutout with four saves. Calley Baker made 23 stops for Spruce Mountain (1-7).

BUCKFIELD 5, VALLEY 1: Kali Litchfield scored three goals in the second half to lift the Bucks to the East/West Conference win in Bingham.

Katy Henderson and Abby Shields also scored for Buckfield. Kendra Sweet scored for Valley.

EDWARD LITTLE 2, MT. BLUE 1: The Eddies scored twice in the first half and held on for the KVAC A win in Farmington.

Cardine Hammond and Grace Beaudette scored for Edward Little (5-2-1), while Sierra Kein scored with just over 13 minutes remaining in the second half for Mt. Blue (2-5-1).

Addie Schanz made 14 saves for the Cougars.

LISBON 1, CARRABEC 0: Emma Houle converted a penalty kick with seven minutes remaining to lift Lisbon to the Mountain Valley Conference win at home.

Kelsey Cramer made nine saves for Carrabec (2-6-1), which held the territorial advantage.

Ali Sult had 14 saves for Lisbon (5-1-2).

NOKOMIS 3, MARANACOOK 2: Austin Taylor had a goal and an assist to lift the Warriors to the KVAC B win in Newport.

Britney Bubar and Sierra Robichaud also scored for Nokomis (5-3-0). Aren Herrick made 18 saves.

Lauren Clough led Maranacook (2-4-2) with a goal and an assist while Courtney Davidson added a goal. Skyeler Webb made 21 saves.

FIELD HOCKEY

LAWRENCE 6, ERSKINE 0: Nora Buck scored four goals, including one on a penalty stroke, to lift the Bulldogs to the KVAC B win in South China.

Lexi Lewis and Lauren Lambert each added a goal for Lawrence (7-3). Marian Zawistowski made one save.

Hannah Burns stopped 16 shots for Erskine (4-6).

SKOWHEGAN 6, EDWARD LITTLE 0: Maliea Kelso scored three goals and Julia Steeves had a goal and two assists to lead the Indians to the KVAC A win in Auburn.

Mariah Dunbar and Breagh Kennedy also scored for Skowhegan (8-1-1), and Leah Savage earned the shutout with five saves.

Emily Lashua made 15 saves for Edward Little (5-4-0).

BOYS SOCCER

WATERVILLE 8, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 2: Ben Danner, Nathan Pinnette and Ethan Cayer each scored two goals to lead the Purple Panthers to the KVAC B win.

Justin Wentworth had a goal and three assists for Waterville (4-4-1). Ethan Nurick made one save for the win.

Brady Walt and Austin Gilboe scored for Spruce Mountain (0-8-0).

BUCKFIELD 5, VALLEY 0: Jacob Kraske made eight saves to lift Buckfield to the East/West Conference shutout in Bingham.

Dylan Harvey and Matt Beauche each scored a pair of goals for Buckfield (5-1-1). Ethan Jackson had two assists for the Bucks.

Dillon Beane made 18 saves for Valley (2-5-1).

LISBON 1, CARRABEC 1: Lisbon and Carrabec played to an MVC draw.

Jarrid Daigle scored for Carrabec while Nick Lertte found the net for Lisbon.

The draw moves Carrabec to 6-1-1 while Lisbon is now 4-1-2.

MESSALONSKEE 6, OXFORD HILLS 0: James Kouletsis had two goals and two assists to spark the Eagles to the KVAC A win in South Paris.

Jack Moore, Tanner Burton, Ryan McCarthy and Dawson Charles also scored for Messalonskee (6-1-1). Chase Warren made five saves.

Samuel Morton stopped eight shots for the Vikings (1-7-0).

LAWRENCE 2, SKOWHEGAN 1, OT: Parker Towne scored off a rebound just 40 seconds into the extra session to give the Bulldogs the KVAC A win in Skowhegan.

Sam Craig scored for Lawrence (2-6-0) and Tucker Watson scored for Skowhegan (1-7-0) as the teams traded first-half goals.

Bulldog goalkeeper Alex Owens made four saves in the win, while Clay Miller had 14 saves for the Indians.
