PHILLIPS — The Ghost Train will begin at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, at 52 Bridge St. Tickets will be available until 9:30 p.m. and trains will continue to run until all ticket holders get to ride.

Philips Middle School eighth-grade will provide the spooks, decorations and concessions, as the steam-powered trains winds through woods and fields. This family-fun event is made possible by The Sandy River and Rangeley Lakes Railroad Museum.

Monson RR No. 3, on lease to the SRRL by the Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad Museum, will power regularly scheduled trains from 2 to 4 p.m., and continue to power the Ghost Train runs. No. 3 will cover all regularly scheduled runs on Sunday.

The railroad will finish its season with regularly scheduled steam powered trains on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 8-9.
