WINSLOW — Anna Petrovic came through in a big spot for the Winslow field hockey team. And then she did it again.

Petrovic scored a pair of goals, including the winner with 8:28 to play, to lift the Black Raiders over Morse, 2-1, in a Class B North prelim game Saturday.

Winslow, the seventh seed, improved to 8-6-1 and will face No. 2 Gardiner in the quarterfinals on Tuesday. Morse, the 10th seed, is done at 4-10-1.

Petrovic’s winning tally came off of an assist from Natalie Greene. She also scored with 16:59 to go in the first half off of an assist from Haley Ryder.

Lily Thibodeau evened the score for Morse with 7:41 left, with Vanessa St. Pierre contributing the assist.

Hope Winkin made six saves in the win for Winslow. Morse’s Sophie Wilson stopped five shots.

HYDE SCHOOL 56, KENTS HILL 28: Taj Conway ran for four touchdowns to lift the Phoenix (1-3) in Bath.

Conway’s first scoring run went for 42 yards in the first quarter, and he also added 30- and 9-yard runs in the second to stretch the Hyde lead to 28-7. He added a 58-yard touchdown run in the third quarter, while Trevor Saucier had a 13-yard touchdown run and 85-yard kickoff return for a score and Miguel Prieto returned an interception 89 yards for a touchdown.

Mike McCarthy ran for a 4-yard score and threw a 42-yard pass to Tory Brown and a 9-yard touchdown pass to Johnny Chimpoulis. Amari Bartley returned a fumble 47 yards to round out the scoring for the Huskies (0-4).
