AUGUSTA — The wet weather rolling into the area has altered the high school athletics slate this weekend.

The cross country regional championships scheduled Saturday have been postponed a week.

The Northern Maine cross country championships will be held Oct. 29 at Troy Howard Middle School in Belfast. The Southern Maine championships will be held in Cumberland.

The state championships were also pushed a week back to Nov. 5.

Other postponements:

– Pine Tree Conference Class B Football game between Skowhegan and Mt. Blue has been postponed to 7 pm, Saturday in Farmington.

-Field Hockey Class A North Semi-Final Game between Mt. Blue and Skowhegan has been postponed to 3 pm, Monday in Farmington.

-The seventh-seeded Nokomis girls soccer team (8-3-3) had its Class B North prelim game against No. 10 Lee/Stearns (6-8-0) postponed to Monday.

-The Oak Hill field hockey team had its Class C South semifinal with Lisbon postponed to Monday at 3:30 p.m. in Litchfield.

Other weather-related notes:

-The Cony-Gardiner football game will be played as scheduled at Hoch Field, according to Gardiner school officials. Kickoff is still scheduled for 7 p.m.

-The Lawrence-Messalonskee football field is also still on, with the teams set to kick off at 7 p.m. at Keyes Field in Fairfield.
