On Sunday, August 28th at their son’s home in Pittston, Donald and Loralie Pushard were given a party to celebrate their 70th Wedding Anniversary.
Donald, and the former Loralie Buker, were married on August 30, 1946 in Gardiner after his return from serving in the Army during WWII. They have lived their entire married lives in the Gardiner home they purchased soon after their marriage.

Donald worked at the Commonwealth Shoe Company and Health-Tex as a supervisor for nearly forty years. Loralie, a graduate of Gardiner High School, was a homemaker who was always busy caring for not only her own children and grandchildren, but others as well.
They continue to be active in caring for their home and yard, attending their great-grandchildren’s activities and sporting events, shopping, taking leisurely drives, and going for ice cream.

The couple has four sons, Donald and wife Roxanna, W. Michael, Thomas and wife Joan, Anthony, and one daughter, Donna and husband Michael (Phillips), fourteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren, including two sets of twins.

Over 85 people attended to celebrate this truly amazing milestone.
