I am writing in support of Paul Frederic’s candidacy for Somerset County commissioner in District 2.
I have known Paul for many years as we both served as coordinators for the Maine Geographic Alliance. Paul’s experience at the university level as well as his years in public service will serve District 2 well. He has expansive knowledge of the area having served as a Starks selectman, a geographer at University of Maine at Farmington and a director of LURC. He has served on multiple state boards concerned with environmental, forestry, land use and educational issues.
As a local farmer, he also has a keen sense of what it is like to live and work in rural Maine. He is committed to the region and is dedicated to improving the economic, educational, environmental and health conditions of its citizens.
