As the chairman of the taxation committee, I saw Jeff McCabe firsthand work tirelessly to find a way to increase education funding for Madison and Skowhegan after the devaluation of the Madison and Sappi mills.
Jeff understands the effects of the loss in education funding on the entire county. Without Jeff’s work over the last two years Skowhegan and Madison school districts would have not received additional funding. Jeff worked tirelessly with Republicans and Democrats looking at dozens of possible solutions.
In the end Jeff allowed the bill to be put under his opponent’s name just to prevent a governor’s veto. Jeff understands that being an elected official is more then wearing a suit and showing up to vote.
