Firefighters from Skowhegan, Canaan and Madison, as well as Skowhegan and state police, responded to a report of a fire at a residence off North Avenue in Skowhegan on Friday night. A dog was reportedly injured in the fire and was taken to the veterinary hospital in Lewiston.
An investigator from the state fire marshal’s office also was on the scene about about 9:45 p.m.
No other information was available by press time Friday night.
